Nia Sanchez, who was crowned Miss USA in June, is now engaged.
Her fiance, Daniel Booko, announced the good news on Instagram on Sunday.
Along with a photo of the happy couple kissing — and prominently featuring Sanchez’s big diamond engagement ring (right and below) — Booko wrote, “We’re engaged!! Ahhhh! Can’t wait to spend forever with my love and best friend!! #bestnightever #TheBookos.”
Booko, an actor who does a lot of voice work, got down on one knee and popped the question on Saturday night on a terrace in New York, amid dozens of candles and flower pedals in the shape of a heart (photo below).
Sanchez, who represented Nevada, but faced questions over whether she really lived there, famously blanked on the name of the state’s capital during an interview.
